Social Support on Family Caregivers of Alzheimer Patients: A Systematic Review

Background and Purpose: Family caregivers of patients with Alzheimer face many challenges when caring for them. The need not only the care health professionals but also social support. Therefore, this study aimed to summarize existing studies on support family in a systematic review. Materials Methods: In review, search was done domestic (Magiran, SID) foreign (Web Science, Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed) databases as well Google Scholar from 1990 August 2021, according PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews) statement. Cochrane STROBE checklists were used evaluate quality articles. Results: Out 709 articles patients, 7 entered final list. number participating these ranged 81 648. mean age all over 50 years. emphasized importance improving patients. Most conducted America, which included interventional most studies, support’s role reducing caregivers’ problems promoting their satisfaction important. Conclusion: Creating networks encouraging use supports will be very helpful More attention literacy is likely useful revelation government.
